Full-Time | Permanent Location: Calgary Are you an experienced operations leader who thrives in fast‑paced environments and enjoys building strong teams, systems, and client relationships? Edon is seeking a Operations Manager – Building Operations to lead facility operations, oversee service delivery, and drive operational excellence across a diverse commercial property portfolio. About The Role As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance of assigned facilities, ensuring contracts are delivered to standard, teams are supported, and clients receive consistent, high‑quality service.
You’ll work closely with internal operations teams, clients, and subcontractors while maintaining accountability for safety, budgets, compliance, and operating results. New‑Build Commissioning & Site Start‑Up Work directly with the client and project stakeholders to transition the facility into live operations Hire, train, and build the on‑site operations team Establish procedures, schedules, and workflows Ensure the site is fully operational and performing to contract standards Maintain accountability for performance once operations are stabilized Key Responsibilities Property Management: Oversee all aspects of facility operations, liaise with clients and tenants, and ensure subcontractor and supplier standards are met. Leadership & Team Development: Guide and support operations and administrative teams, fostering staff growth and performance.
Financial Oversight: Prepare annual budgets, monitor monthly variances, and ensure bottom‑line accountability for operational results. Building Operations: Manage preventive maintenance programs, troubleshoot building systems, and ensure compliance with safety standards. Project Management: Coordinate facility projects, renovations, and upgrades from planning to execution.
Client & Contractor Relations: Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain service excellence. Safety Compliance: Conduct on‑site safety inspections and audits as required for buildings and projects and ensure that employees and subcontractors are adhering to safety practices. A dynamic, team‑oriented workplace that values initiative, innovation, and service excellence Who we are looking for? Holds 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate Minimum 5 years’ experience in facilities management, including maintenance and subcontracted services. Holds or pursuing an accredited Commercial Real Estate designation (RPA, CPM, FMA, FMP) is required Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, knowledge of computerized accounting systems (MRI experience an asset), and working knowledge of CMMS and BMCS Extensive knowledge of budgeting, administrative and accounting processes Comprehensive understanding of building operations and building systems Strong leadership and supervisory/management skills, including the ability to lead a team of staff to achieve standards and accomplish objectives Valid Driver's License and clean Driver's Abstract #J-18808-Ljbffr
