About The OpportunityWe are looking for motivated Network Field Technicians (Tier 1) to join a growing team supporting enterprise data center deployments in Santiago, Chile. This is an excellent entry point into the data center and networking industry. Key Responsibilities- Assist with the installation, racking, and cabling of network equipment, including routers, switches, and wireless access points.
- Support the installation and termination of fiber optic and copper cabling under the guidance of senior technicians.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of physical network connectivity issues.
- Follow network diagrams, rack layouts, and installation plans accurately.
- Assist with Wi‑Fi survey preparation and equipment setup.
- Label equipment, document completed work, and maintain organized project records.
- Support site readiness activities, including rack preparation, cabling routes, and power checks.
- Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and professionalism on site.
- 1–2 years of experience in a process‑driven, hands‑on environment such as IT support, networking, field services, telecommunications, construction, logistics, mechanical trades, or similar technical work.
- Basic understanding of structured cabling (Cat5e/Cat6, fiber optics), or transferable experience working with cables and wiring.
- Fluent English and Spanish (written and spoken).
- Strong willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.
- Excellent work ethic with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Comfortable using hand tools and working in physically demanding environments.
- Ability to lift equipment when required.
- Based within commuting distance of Santiago.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCT, or equivalent, or currently working toward one.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts, including IP addressing, patching, and network ports.
- Experience with structured cabling, telecommunications, or data center environments.
