Overview St. Mary's Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Medical Oncologist to join our dedicated oncology team. Designated Health Provider Shortage Area (HPSA) - Make a meaningful impact in a high-need, underserved community. Responsibilities: Diagnose and treat a variety of cancer types with evidence-based therapies, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted treatments.

Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, including surgeons, radiation oncologists, and palliative care specialists. Provide compassionate patient education and counseling, ensuring patients and families understand their diagnosis and treatment options. Participate in tumor boards and case reviews to enhance care coordination and optimize patient outcomes.

Stay current with emerging cancer treatments and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Work closely with oncology nurses, pharmacists, and support staff to ensure seamless patient care. Contribute to community outreach and cancer prevention initiatives to enhance local healthcare access.

Qualifications: Required Credentials - Board Certified/Board Eligible Physician licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the State of New York Preferred Experience - Advanced training in Hematology/Oncology or additional subspecialty certification is preferred but not required. Education - Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited institution Skills - Strong clinical, diagnostic, and patient-centered empathetic communication skills Compensation & Benefits: Base Salary Range - $367,919 - $566,718 (commensurate with experience). Competitive compensation package, including base salary sign-on bonus and semiannual bonuses for productivity.
