Mechanical Engineer – Data Centres
Location: Porto, Portugal
Employment Type: Full-Time, On-Site
Level: Junior / Senior / Lead
About the Role
We are hiring Mechanical Engineers at Junior, Senior, and Lead levels to join our engineering team in Porto, supporting the design and delivery of large-scale Data Centre and mission-critical projects.
You will work on complex multidisciplinary projects involving HVAC, cooling systems, piping, pumps, machinery, and thermal systems, collaborating with international engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical systems including HVAC, cooling, piping, pumps, and thermal systems.
- Prepare and validate mechanical calculations, schematics, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate mechanical designs with Electrical, Structural, Civil, and other disciplines.
- Ensure compliance with ASME, ISO, ASHRAE, and applicable local standards.
- Participate in design reviews, technical coordination, and risk assessments.
- Support project delivery, technical documentation, and client coordination.
- For Senior/Lead roles: mentor engineers, lead design activities, manage project deliverables, and provide technical leadership.
Requirements
Junior: 3–5 years of mechanical design experience.
Senior: 5–10 years of mechanical design experience with strong experience in large-scale projects.
Lead: 10+ years of mechanical design experience with proven team leadership and project ownership.
All levels:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, cooling, piping, pumps, and thermal systems.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or similar design software.
- Knowledge of ASME, ISO, and ASHRAE standards.
- Experience in Data Centres, industrial, commercial, infrastructure, or other complex projects is highly desirable.
- Strong English communication skills.
