We are currently seeking an experienced Truck Driver – Livestock Transport, to work in a permanent full-time position at our Soudan Station.

The North Australian Pastoral Company (NAPCo) was founded in 1877 and is one of Australia's leading beef cattle companies, managing over 6.1 million hectares, largest single herd in the world and home to Five Founders Beef. NAPCo employs approximately 220 staff operating across Queensland and the Northern Territory, with 15 cattle stations, a Depot in Mount Isa, a Feedlot and Farm in the Darling Downs and an office in Brisbane's CBD.
Soudan Station, NT
This is a unique opportunity to experience life on one of Australia’s iconic cattle stations. Soudan Station runs approximately 22,000 head of cattle and serves as NAPCo’s dedicated heifer hub. The property is located along the Barkly Highway, just one hour west of Camooweal.
The role
Soudan Station is seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our crew where you will move cattle across one of Australia's iconic pastoral operations. You will be responsible for transporting livestock in oversized trucks or road trains while maintaining the highest standards of animal health and welfare. Working closely with the stock crew during cattle loading and unloading, so strong teamwork and communication skills are essential.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
- A current MC licence
- Previous experience working on a cattle station
- Proven ability and confidence working with cattle
- Experience driving road trains or similar heavy vehicles
- Competence in loading and unloading livestock
- The ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
- Willingness to assist with general station duties as required
- A strong commitment to Health and Safety procedures
