Job Description

The Marketing & Fan Engagement Executive is a creative and innovative professional who thrives on creating compelling content and delivering innovative experiences to grow interest and engagement in racing among youth audiences. The Marketing & Fan Engagement Executive will have a keen understanding of new and emerging media and the strategies needed to leverage them to attract younger fans. This role reports to Marketing & Fan Engagement Manager.

Core duties of the Marketing & Fan Engagement Executive will include:

  • Devise and implement new marketing initiatives for HRI Racing Juniors to develop a love of the horse among primary school children.
  • Design data growth initiatives to build the addressable audience of HRI Racing Juniors.
  • Create above-the-line campaigns using relevant media to promote HRI Racing Juniors initiatives.
  • Support racecourses on the running of Education Days for Primary Schools.
  • Support in the creation and implementation of season long content series to grow interest in flat racing in Ireland.
  • Work with the Marketing & Fan Engagement Manager to develop immersive events aimed at driving attendances at key flat meetings.
  • Support in the delivery of content across all owned channels to educate, entertain and engage existing and potential flat racing fans.
  • Work with the Marketing & Fan Engagement Manager to develop a plan to encourage interest among Gen Alpha using gamification and technology to create long-term fandom.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver cohesive and effective marketing activity.
  • Work with HRI's Design Manager to produce a suite of creative assets for each campaign that appeal to the target audience.
  • Use data and performance insights to evaluate campaign effectiveness and continuously optimise activity.

Skills and experience you will need for the Marketing & Fan Engagement Executive role:

  • 2+ years' experience in brand, marketing, or communications roles.
  • Proven experience delivering integrated campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Strong content creation and copywriting skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing and content performance.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience analysing performance and optimising campaigns.
  • Excellent budget management skills.
  • A team player with excellent project management, communication and organisational skills along with the ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • An exceptional understanding of the role of earned and owned media in promoting racing and creating event publicity.
  • Experience in briefing and managing output of 3rd party agencies e.g. creative, media buying and content creation.
  • An ability to work to set KPI's and to monitor & optimise digital and social campaigns.
  • An ability to devise and implement data growth initiatives.
  • As racing is a seven-day business, flexibility in relation to working hours and days is required.
