Manager / Sr Manager Quality

Position Title Manager Quality – Transmission & Distribution.

Role Objective

 

The Quality Lead will head the Quality function for the Transmission &

Distribution (T&D) Strategic Business Unit (SBU) within an EPC organization.

This leadership role involves managing a team of quality professionals,

overseeing Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) activities, and

ensuring the effective implementation of Quality Management Systems (QMS) across supply chain and project sites.

 

In current role: shall be Heading Quality function in an EPC organization,

leading team of Quality personnel, carrying out QMS related activities

- Must have supply and site QC/inspection experience along with QMS

 

Experience

- Shall be responsible for:

i. Quality function (QA and QC) for SBU-T&D

ii. Setting up quality team at HO and for new project sites

iii. Establishing Quality systems – procedures, protocols, standards

relevant to the business

iv. Supply and site quality. Engaging Construction teams for

implementation of quality requirements / initiatives

v. Knowledge of: clean room technology, LEED (Leadership in Energy and

Environmental Design) for green building rating, HVAC system.

vi. Maintaining Quality in projects by implementation of Project Quality

Management. This will encompass all the quality aspects for the project

- Engineering, Procurement and Construction

vii. Monitoring monthly KPIs, Customer Feedback response for the projects,

analysing audit outcomes of NCRs, carry out RCAs and drive prevention

initiatives with the involvement of stake holder

viii. Ensuring timely QMS audits (and IMS audits)

ix. Issue monthly Quality Report to the Management

x. Identifying improvement areas, driving initiatives, innovations,

troubleshooting, imparting training

xi. Driving Business Excellence projects in EPC work process. Implement

use of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) tools (DMAIC approach, 5 Why, PDCA etc.)

xii. Initiating use of digital tools to enhance reporting, analysis

xiii. Work with Quality team to optimize Quality cost-to-company,

estimation of manpower for projects, standardization across various sites.

 

Desirable Attributes

• Lead Auditor in ISO 9001, Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma
• Preferable to have ISO 14001, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor Certification

 

Additional educational qualification / certification, professional certification

• Qualifications Bachelor’s in engineering – Mechanical / Electrical / Civil
• Desired Experience Level Overall 12+ yrs of experience
