As part of the Canadian tax team, you will be autonomous and able to plan, organize, direct and contribute directly to the management of trusts, estate and post-mortem planning mandates and estate settlements. You will be the client contact person for coordinating and responding to a variety of ad‑hoc and multidisciplinary requests and queries. You will also be the contact person for the progress of staff assigned to these files. This job requires a variety of interactions with associates, managers and partners, as well as directly with customers. At least 2‑3 years’ experience in a similar position; Knowledge of certain cross‑border rules (U.S. estate tax, payments to Canadian non‑residents, etc.) to coordinate and collaborate with our U.S. and international tax team; Knowledge of investment, insurance and planning products to optimize their use; Knowledge of matrimonial property regimes and rules governing family assets; Knowledge of income‑splitting rules; Knowledge of Caseware, Taxprep and the MS Office suite; Ability to work under pressure, managing several mandates simultaneously while meeting deadlines and commitments; Demonstrate innovation, adaptability and proactivity; Autonomy, rigor, dedicated team player, collaboration oriented, concern to offer an optimal customer experience are essential qualities for the success of this position; Bilingualism (spoken and written) would be an asset.
