Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group Ltd. Interested in joining one of Canada’s top performing asset managers? We are looking for a Business Analyst for an existing vacancy in our Enterprise Projects team.
As a Business Analyst, you will play a key role in business transformation by being part of large-scale strategic initiatives across the organization. The Enterprise Projects team connects people across the organization to improve project outcomes, enable change and transformation, and support the organization in achieving its business goals and realizing its strategy. Through discovery, we define the business need and lead the design and delivery of high-caliber, cost-effective solutions that empower the enterprise to pursue its vision.
Our offices currently operate on a hybrid model with a combination of in-office and remote working days throughout the week. What You Will Do In this role you will join a highly skilled group of project professionals working across the organization to contribute to the following areas: Requirements & Analysis Elicit, analyze, and synthesize business needs from workshops, meetings, and informal stakeholder conversations into clear, actionable requirements Validate requirements with stakeholders and ensure alignment to agreed scope and design direction Translate high‑level discussions into: Business, functional and data requirements Process flows and workflow diagrams Use cases and outcomes summaries Process & Workflow Documentation Document current‑state and future‑state workflows across investment operations, with a clear articulation of process purpose, pain points, and intended changes Identify and document dependencies, handoffs, and system interactions across portfolio accounting systems and upstream/downstream platforms Maintain end‑to‑end traceability between business requirements, functional specifications, design decisions, and implementation outcome Design, Testing & Delivery Support Support functional design discussions by ensuring business intent is clearly articulated and documented Assist in test scenario creation, walkthroughs, and validation to ensure delivered solutions meet the documented requirements Program Support & Collaborations Act as a bridge between business users, SMEs, technology teams, and vendors throughout the delivery lifecycle Ask thoughtful questions to clarify ambiguity and confirm understanding, especially where requirements are implied rather than explicitly stated Communicate findings in a clear, structured, and professional manner suitable for governance and design discussions Liaise and coordinate with the various project stream under the program and associated stakeholders to ensure alignment What You Bring The following qualifications are important to be successful in the role: 4+ years of experience in business analysis, preferably within the financial services industry Experience working on large‑scale business and technology transformation initiatives, from initial concept through implementation Strong ability to synthesize information from multiple sources and articulate findings in a clear, concise, and structured manner Comfortable working with guidance and direction, while independently driving assigned analysis tasks to completion Demonstrated understanding of business analysis frameworks and the project management lifecycle Disciplined and consistent approach to business analysis, with strong attention to detail while maintaining a broader, end‑to‑end view Proven critical thinker with the ability to analyze complex information and summarize effectively for diverse audiences Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience producing senior‑level business documentation and presentations Proficient in process mapping and documentation tools; experience with Visio and/or Lucid is an asset Familiarity with leading financial industry platforms such as SS&C, SimCorp, or Eagle Accounting is an asset CBAP® or CCBA® certification is considered an asset About the Team We understand current industry best practices and how they can be adapted and applied to support effective project delivery. The salary range provided reflects the base salary range for this position as required by legislation. In addition, there is an annual performance bonus which contributes to the total compensation for this position.
