The Vacancy Manager of Mental Health & Addiction Services Location: Shiels Court, Ballymoney Hours: 37 hours per week Contract: Permanent Salary: ยฃ36,490.17 - ยฃ42,925.61 At Inspire, we work alongside people living with mental ill health, addiction and associated challenges, supporting recovery, resilience and wellbeing. We are now seeking a Manager of Mental Health & Addiction Services to lead and develop high-quality, recovery-focused services that make a real and lasting difference. This is a key leadership role where you will work closely with the Assistant Director to ensure the safe, effective and person-centred delivery of services, while driving innovation, performance and positive outcomes for the people we support.
About the Role As Manager, you will have full operational responsibility for a portfolio of Mental Health & Addiction Services. You will provide strong leadership and direction to teams, ensuring services are compliant, effective and aligned with Inspire's values. You will play an important role in shaping service delivery, supporting staff, building relationships with stakeholders and contributing to the ongoing development and growth of services.
Key Responsibilities Provide leadership, direction and operational oversight across Mental Health & Addiction Services Support the strategic development and delivery of services in line with organisational objectives Ensure services meet statutory, regulatory and governance requirements Monitor service performance, outcomes and quality standards, driving continuous improvement Manage resources effectively, including staffing, budgets and service delivery Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, partner agencies and funders Support business development opportunities and service expansion Lead, support and develop staff, promoting a high-performance and values-led culture Essential Criteria To be shortlisted candidates will need to be able to demonstrate the following: Circumstances To be flexible as the role will involve working on a rota/shift basis. Day and night shifts over the week-end and on-call. Possess a full current driving licence and access to a car.
Consideration will be given to alternative travelling proposals in respect of applicants with a disability who cannot hold a driver's licence. Business Insurance is a requirement for this role. Qualifications Professional qualification for example: Professional Social Work qualification and registered on the appropriate part of the NISCC register without condition.
OR A first level registered nurse on the appropriate part of the Nursing and Midwifery Council register. OR Allied health professional; eg Qualified OT registered with BAOT. AND A minimum of 4 years experience, working in a health and social care setting with demonstrated experience of managing a range of complex mental health needs In people who use are services.
At least 2 years of this experience must be in a relevant operational management capacity, which must include the supervision of staff/volunteers and financial management. OR A QCF level 5 diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services (Adults Management) or equivalent and be registered or eligible for registration on appointment on the NISCC register without condition AND a minimum of 5 years experience in a health and social care setting with demonstrated experience of managing a range of complex mental health needs in people who use our services. This must include at least 2 years relevant experience in an operational management capacity to include supervision of staff/volunteers and financial management.
Experience Experience of delivering mental health or Addiction services Experience of Budgetary, Financial Management or Contract delivery. Experience of liaising with statutory and other voluntary agencies. Experience of multi -disciplinary Team Working Experience of using IT packages and systems including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
