This role plays a critical part in driving financially sound decision‑making across pricing, contracting, and revenue planning. Partnering closely with Commercial Development, Sales, Legal, and Finance teams, you will embed financial rigor into customer engagements and long‑term business planning. Combining strong analytical capability with commercial acumen, this role supports profitability optimization, risk management, and alignment of commercial outcomes with Lonza’s enterprise growth objectives.

What you’ll get A high‑impact commercial finance role within a global life sciences leader Close collaboration with senior stakeholders across Commercial, Legal, and Finance Exposure to complex CDMO commercial models and integrated customer offerings A collaborative, inclusive, and ethical workplace culture Competitive compensation and benefits aligned with role and experience Opportunities for professional growth through strategic business partnering What you’ll do Partner with Commercial Development, Portfolio Management, Sales, and Legal on pricing and contract strategy to shape financially robust customer agreements Design and implement pricing models and financial frameworks that support value‑based negotiations, risk mitigation, and long‑term profitability Act as a strategic finance business partner by delivering clear financial insights on pricing, contract structures, project evaluations, and commercial initiatives Monitor and analyze contract‑level margins, identify deviations from plan, and perform root‑cause analysis to protect and optimize profitability Co‑lead commercial financial planning and reporting activities, including long‑term planning (BSR), annual budgets, outlooks, monthly close, and variance analysis Engage senior stakeholders to translate financial insights into actionable strategic decisions aligned with corporate objectives Assess customer credit risk in collaboration with GBSO, including creditworthiness evaluation, AR provisions review, and forecast incorporation Collaborate closely with site finance teams responsible for costing and FTE planning to ensure alignment between commercial and operational financial processes Ensure compliance with IFRS, the Lonza Accounting Manual (FAM), the Lonza Management Accounting Manual (MAM), and other applicable accounting standards and policies What we’re looking for Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field Broad experience across commercial finance, business controlling, or financial planning roles Proven exposure to complex, customer‑facing commercial environments such as CDMO, manufacturing, or life sciences Strong understanding of financial statements and end‑to‑end financial performance drivers Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a dynamic and evolving business environment Strong analytical skills across costing, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting Ability to interpret complex financial information and clearly communicate insights to non‑finance stakeholders High level of commercial acumen and structured problem‑solving capability Strong communication, influencing, and stakeholder‑management skills What we offer An agile career and dynamic working culture An inclusive and ethical workplace Compensation programs that recognize high performance A variety of benefits dependent on role and location The full list of our global benefits can be found here: .
