Maintenance Technician – Automation & Robotics

Mission

Ensure excellence in terms of quality, safety, customer experience, and productivity in your area of responsibility as a Warehouse Technician. Ensure an efficient use of the resources that you will have assigned as well as the supervision and development. Actively collaborate in the development of the BIKE24 business.

Responsibilities

• Comply and actively participate regarding safety and security policies and compliance with all regulations.
• Identify and proactively lead initiatives to improve processes, safety, and quality regarding the maintenance of the warehouse and any Robotic Autostore‑related process.
• Determine causes of operational problems or failures and troubleshoot automatic systems.
• Disassemble and reassemble Autostore robots, components, and peripheral equipment to perform needed repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Perform preventive or corrective maintenance on robotic systems or components.
• Create and maintain operational service records of Autostore robotic equipment.
• Install, program, and repair programmable controllers, robot controllers, conveyors, and related equipment.
• Document automatic systems test procedures and results; prepare Standard Operating Procedures and related documents.
• Maintain inventories and traceability of automatic systems supplies such as sensors and cables.
• Ensure the optimal state of the facilities as well as follow procedures for order, cleanliness, and 5S.
• Manage external suppliers (e.g., fire protection systems, electrical installations, forklifts, loading docks, lightning protection); ensure compliance with service contracts and identify new suppliers where necessary.
• Create, update, and ensure full compliance with the overall maintenance plan, coordinating effectively with external service providers.
• Collaborate on continuous improvement projects within warehouse operations, including prototype development and ergonomic optimisation of workstations.

Qualifications

• CFGS/FP in a relevant field, ideally Mechatronics or Robotics.
• Excellent communication skills with medium‑high level B2 English and Spanish (verbal and written); German is a plus.
• Experience in repairing and maintaining electronic and mechanical equipment.
• Experience in interacting with and using computer and computer systems (hardware and software).
• Proactive attitude toward making decisions and solving problems.
• Pragmatic, humble, communicative, empathic, and honest person.
• Basic knowledge of at least one programming language.
• Knowledge and experience in robotics maintenance.
• Experience with KPIs and process improvement.
• Excellent technical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Flexible person who adapts to change.
• Excellent skills in written and verbal communication; must be able to communicate effectively and build relationships with the entire organization.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of PLCs and pneumatics.
• Previous experience working in a logistics or warehouse environment.
