Hello, My name is Caroline, and I’m a Recruitment and Business Development Consultant at Fed Finance, a recruitment firm specializing in finance roles. I handle both temporary and permanent placements on Montreal’s South Shore. Our team of finance experts speaks your language and operates in your industry.
We cover roles in accounting, finance, and payroll. I am seeking an M&A Analyst for my client based on the South Shore. This is a permanent position with a hybrid work arrangement.
Mission - Conduct in-depth financial analyses to assess the viability of external growth initiatives (acquisitions, divestitures, partnerships). - Build financial models and perform valuation exercises to support decision-making. - Conduct detailed analyses of target companies (finances, operations, contracts, business model) to identify risks and opportunities. - Produce summaries, presentations, and recommendations for senior management. - Analyze market trends, competition, and industry dynamics to identify new strategic opportunities. - Assess the strategic alignment and financial feasibility of identified projects. - Monitor economic and regulatory developments that may impact investment decisions. - Participate in structuring transactions and support the negotiation phases in collaboration with internal teams and external partners. - Coordinate the various stakeholders (finance, legal, operations, HR) throughout the process. - Contribute to post-transaction monitoring by analyzing performance and identifying opportunities for optimization. Your profile - A university degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. - 2 to 5 years of experience in a transactional finance environment (M&A, investment banking, consulting, or corporate finance). - Excellent proficiency in Excel and the ability to create financial models with ease. - Good understanding of valuation methods and financial statements.
