Linux System Administrator | Porto- hybrid (3x peer week)

At Lùkla, we are looking for a Linux Systems Administrator to join an experienced infrastructure team. Whether you have 2–3 years of dedicated experience or are a more senior administrator, we are looking for someone who values solid systems administration and operational reliability.

Responsibilities:

• Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux servers in production environments.
• Investigate system, network connectivity, and service-level incidents to ensure high availability.
• Perform routine system updates, configuration changes, and follow operational procedures.
• Leverage scripting/automation to streamline routine and repetitive administrative tasks.
• Provide basic VMware-related troubleshooting when needed.
• Document incidents and solutions, progressively taking ownership of daily operations.
• Participate in on-call rotations after completing a dedicated onboarding period.

Requirements:

• +2 years of dedicated experience in Linux systems administration (production environments).
• Solid hands-on troubleshooting skills across OS, services, and networking.
• Experience with automation and shell scripting.
• Willingness to learn new tools, follow established processes, and work collaboratively.
• Availability for a long-term assignment.

Nice to have / Preferred:

• Familiarity with tools like Red Hat Satellite, Red Hat IDM, OpenLDAP, Pacemaker, Corosync, OpenSVC, Veritas, or Dell EMC.
• Basic hands-on experience with VMware.
