Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Store Operations Leadership

• Oversee and manage all aspects of store operations, including receiving, binning, and put-away processes.
\n
• Lead the team to ensure optimal efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to operational standards, driving smooth daily functions in a fast-paced environment.
\n

\n

2. Inventory Management & Accuracy

\n

\n
• Lead inventory control efforts, ensuring accurate stock levels through perpetual inventory systems.
\n
• Conduct regular stock audits, track inventory movements, and resolve discrepancies to ensure all materials are available when needed, minimizing stockouts or overstock situations.
\n

\n

3. FIFO (First-In-First-Out) Implementation

\n
• Champion the implementation of FIFO practices across the store, ensuring materials are rotated correctly and efficiently.
\n
• Monitor stock flow and ensure the first-received materials are used before newer inventory to reduce waste and optimize stock turnover.
\n

\n

4. Team Leadership & Development

\n

\n
• Supervise and mentor store staff, providing guidance and training to ensure high levels of performance and adherence to store procedures.
\n
• Foster a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement, ensuring staff is empowered to perform their roles effectively and efficiently.
\n

\n

5. Cross-Department Coordination

\n

\n
• Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure smooth inventory replenishment, accurate order fulfilment, and timely dispatch of materials.
\n
• Address any operational issues that arise and implement solutions to streamline interdepartmental processes.
\n

\n

6. Stock Replenishment & Order Fulfilment

\n

• Ensure timely and accurate stock replenishment to avoid inventory shortages.
\n
• Oversee the preparation of materials for dispatch and coordinate with relevant teams to ensure goods are delivered according to production schedules and customer requirements.
\n

\n

7. Reporting & Documentation

\n

\n
• Generate and analyse reports on inventory levels, stock movements, discrepancies, and operational performance.
\n
• Provide senior management with insights to identify areas of improvement, optimize processes, and make data-driven decisions.
\n

\n

8. Safety & Regulatory Compliance

\n

\n
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations within the store and warehouse environment
\n
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, minimize safety risks, and ensure all team members are aware of safety protocols and best practices.
\n

\n

9. Continuous Process Improvement

• Lead initiatives to identify and implement improvements to store processes, workflows, and systems.
\n
• Focus on increasing efficiency, reducing errors, and optimizing the overall management of materials and inventory to support business goals.
