Job Description

Good Samaritan Health Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Lead Medication Assistant, Certified (LMAC) to join our Long Term Care team. This role is critical in ensuring the delivery of high-quality medication management and care coordination for our residents. Our facility prioritizes holistic health and wellness outcomes, especially focusing on the needs of underserved communities.

As an LMAC at Good Samaritan, you will oversee the medication administration process, coordinate with healthcare providers, and ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations. This position requires a strong commitment to enhancing patient well-being through exceptional care and education. Administer medications according to established guidelines and document all pertinent information.

Supervise and train medication assistant team in proper protocols and safety procedures. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to plan and evaluate patient care plans. Monitor patients for reactions or improvements and report changes in conditions.

Ensure compliance with all health care laws, regulations, and policies. Manage medication stock and place orders as necessary, avoiding shortages and overstock situations. Provide education to patients and their families about medication and overall health practices.

Strong knowledge of pharmacology and medication administration Excellent organizational and leadership skills Ability to communicate effectively with patients, family members, and healthcare professionals Proficient in clinical documentation and healthcare management systems Compassion and patience in dealing with elder residents Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Medication Assistant (CMA) status is required. Current CPR and First Aid certification. State-specific certification as required for the position.
