Role – Lead BA Skills – Mandatory Product Management: Requirement Elicitation, Interest in Analysis + Detailing + Solutioning, Ability to Playback requirements using visual tools, Excellent Documentation & communication skills About the Role This role involves analysing payment workflows, identifying opportunities for optimization, and ensuring seamless integration of payment systems to enhance business performance. Responsibilities Lead BA for multiple digital products in financial domain. Structured approach towards requirement elicitation discussions – Pre-workshop research, analysis and deep study of the topic planned for workshop, structured Q&A planning etc.
Analysis Skills – Natural interest to analysis and problem-solving. Ability to go into details and extract functional details: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop the product vision and business outcomes. Collaborate with prospective end users / SMEs to understand their needs and translate them into product requirements related to payments, settlements, and reconciliation.
Prioritize the Product Roadmap which aligns with the overall vision of the product. Articulate the product requirements (written and verbal) and present it. Example: business flow diagrams, mindmaps, designing wireframes, writing user stories.
Documentation Skill: Translate Product roadmap into well-defined product requirements by documenting epics, features, user stories & acceptance criteria. Knowledge in preparing business process flowcharts using tools like MIRO, draw.io, Visio etc. Familiarity with product management tools like JIRA/Azure DevOps/AHA etc.
Create wireframes using prototyping or wireframing tools. Ability to visualize the User Interface of features, suggest the challenges in usability and provide suggestions to UI/UX team. Work closely with technology teams to design, test, and implement payment solutions.
Analyse payment processing workflows, identifying areas for improvement and efficiency. Conduct market research on emerging payment trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements. Ensure compliance with financial regulations such as PCI-DSS, PSD2, and AML/KYC guidelines.
Monitor transaction performance, fraud risks, and security measures. Generate reports and dashboards to track payment KPIs and business metrics. Act as a liaison between business and technical teams, ensuring alignment on payment initiatives.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree Required Skills Experience playing the role of a mature Business Analyst who can plan and conduct healthy requirement workshop sessions with client SMEs and Product Managers. Strong interest to articulate (written and verbal) with good detailing & analytics skills with natural interest in problem-solving. Excellent communication skills – articulate (written and verbal), discuss and finalize product business requirements with client stakeholders through usage of good visual tool based diagrams.
Hands on Expertise in producing deliverables like business process flows, requirement specifications/user stories, product backlog (not restricted to delegation, but a do-er). Experience in working with UI/UX/Visual design to guide the product’s user interface process. Experience in synching with Product Owners and jointly participating in requirement grooming, sprint planning and helping product engineering team.
Adequate technical exposure to understand modern web/mobile application development along with ability to visualize and understand data structures. Preferred Skills Strong understanding of payment gateways, merchant flows, and card networks (Visa, Mastercard, etc.). Familiarity with digital wallets, real-time payments, and cross-border transactions.
Knowledge of payment platforms such as Stripe, PayPal, Adyen, or similar solutions. Proficiency in SQL, data analysis, and reporting tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile environment is a plus. Experience with API-based payment integrations.
Nice to have: Certifications in business analysis (CBAP, CCBA) or payments (e.g., NACHA, SWIFT). Nice to have: Exposure to AI-driven fraud detection and risk management in payments.
