JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT :
Job Overview :
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Junior Accountant to manage financial operations, ensure compliance with U.S. accounting standards, and support business decision-making through accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with accounting systems, tax compliance, and payroll processing for U.S.-based entities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Perform bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations
- Handle month-end and year-end closing processes
- Prepare and maintain financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with U.S. regulations using tools like ADP
- Manage tax-related activities including preparation/support for filings with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS)
- Prepare and file forms such as W-2, 1099, and assist with 941/940 filings
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ensure audit readiness
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Generate MIS reports and provide insights to management
- Must know Tally
Required Skills & Qualifications :
- Experience : 1-2 years
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA/CPA Inter preferred)
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and U.S. accounting practices
- Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
- Experience in payroll processing and U.S. tax compliance
- Strong knowledge of AP/AR, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills for working with U.S.-based clients/teams
- Tally, GST
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with U.S.-based companies
- Familiarity with multi-entity accounting
- Exposure to audit processes
- Knowledge of SaaS or consulting business accounting
