Java Developer with Microservices

Overview Genesis10 is currently seeking a Java Developer with Microservices with our client in the financial industry located in Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract position. Responsibilities Lead the development of our next-generation platform Design, build, and scale distributed backend services that are resilient, high-performing, and cloud-native Play a pivotal role in transitioning legacy monolithic components into a decoupled, event-driven ecosystem Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field 7+ years of professional software development experience 3+ years of hands-on experience building and deploying microservices in a production environment Senior Java Developer with a deep specialization in Microservices Architecture Expert-level knowledge of Java 17/21, focusing on Concurrency, Streams, and JVM tuning Extensive experience with the Spring Ecosystem (Spring Boot, Security, Cloud, Data) Proficiency in synchronous (HTTP/JSON) and asynchronous (Message Queues) messaging Strong commitment to TDD/BDD using JUnit, Mockito, and Cucumber Experience deploying to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Proficiency with Maven/Gradle, Git, and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab CI) Pay Range: $55.06-$63.06 Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
