Job Description
We are looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer / System Administrator to manage day-to-day IT support, systems, devices, network, firewall, and user access for a growing team of 100+ employees. This is not a basic desktop support role. We need someone who can independently handle Mac and Windows laptops, employee onboarding/offboarding, software installations, email and access setup, firewall/network troubleshooting, IT inventory, device security, and regular support requests across the office.
The ideal candidate should be hands-on, organized, security-conscious, and comfortable supporting both technical and non-technical users. Key Responsibilities * Manage IT support for 100+ employees across Mac and Windows systems * Set up, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain MacBooks, Windows laptops, desktops, and peripherals * Handle employee onboarding and offboarding from an IT access and device perspective * Configure company email, user accounts, software access, shared drives, and basic permissions * Maintain office network, Wi-Fi, LAN, routers, switches, firewall, and internet connectivity * Troubleshoot hardware, software, OS, printer, network, VPN, and connectivity issues * Manage antivirus, endpoint security, system updates, backups, and device compliance * Monitor and maintain firewall rules, network access, basic security controls, and user restrictions * Track IT assets, laptops, accessories, licenses, warranties, and repair status * Coordinate with internet providers, hardware vendors, software vendors, and service partners * Support conference room systems, CCTV/NVR, biometric/attendance devices, and office IT equipment if required * Maintain IT documentation, inventory records, SOPs, and issue logs * Ensure systems are secure, updated, and ready for employees to work without disruption * Escalate critical issues to vendors or senior management when needed Required Skills * 3 to 7 years of experience in IT support, desktop support, system administration, or network support * Strong hands-on experience with both macOS and Windows * Experience supporting 50+ users; 100+ user support experience preferred * Good knowledge of laptop setup, OS installation, software installation, troubleshooting, and system maintenance * Experience with routers, switches, Wi-Fi, LAN, internet troubleshooting, and basic network administration * Working knowledge of firewall configuration and troubleshooting * Understanding of user access management, email setup, password policies, and software permissions * Basic knowledge of endpoint security, antivirus, system updates, backups, and device protection * Ability to manage IT inventory and maintain proper records * Ability to work independently and prioritize support requests * Good communication skills and patience while supporting employees * Must be comfortable working full-time on-site at Perungudi, Chennai Mandatory Requirement Candidates should have their own working laptop for initial setup, coordination, documentation, and emergency support needs. Nice to Have * Experience with Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 administration * Experience with Apple ID, MacBook setup, Jamf, Kandji, Mosyle, or other MDM tools * Experience with Windows Active Directory, Azure AD, Intune, or endpoint management tools * Experience with Fortinet, Sophos, SonicWall, Cisco, TP-Link Omada, Ubiquiti, or similar firewall/network systems * Experience with VPN setup and troubleshooting * Experience supporting CCTV, biometric attendance, access control, printers, and conference room devices * Basic scripting or automation knowledge * ITIL/helpdesk process knowledge Location: On-site at Elatre office (Perungudi, Chennai) Experience: 6 years Working days: Monday to Saturday Shift timing: 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
