INTERSTATE TRUCK DRIVER - BOAT TRANSPORT

Express Boat Transport is a growing, family-run transport company specialising in the interstate movement of boats, caravans and oversized loads Australia-wide.

We are looking for an experienced, reliable and professional driver to join our expert team.

This isn't your typical freight driving job. You'll be travelling Australia, working with quality equipment and transporting a wide variety of boats and specialised loads.

The Role:

Starting on a casual basis, with the opportunity to move into a permanent full-time position for the right person.

Pay rate is $40-$50 per hour depending on experience, licences and oversize knowledge.

Your role will include, but not be limited to;

• Regular interstate driving throughout Australia
• Loading, securing and unloading boats and other specialised loads
• Oversize transport and associated requirements
• Completing paperwork, load documentation, running log books as per legislations
• Taking care of your company assigned truck and trailer, as well as customer's boats and freight
• Communicating and maintaining professionalism at all times with customers and our team.

You will bring;

A clean drivers licence with no loss or suspension in the previous 5 years. MR licence is a minimum requirement.

• Experience in the freight industry and a minimum of 5 years truck driving experience.
• A keen eye for detail with ability to problem solve and use initiative.
• Oversize and logbook experience advantageous.
• East Coast oversize knowledge highly regarded (Melbourne to Cairns).
• Willingness to spend extended periods away from home when required.
• A can do attitude, ability to work within a small close knit team and maintain your equipment.
• Our full-time drivers spend approx. 18-20 days of the month away from home, depending on our schedule.

• You will be driving one of our late model Volvo FM trucks, with a specialised trailer behind. The truck has an ADR approved sleeper cab, and is meticulously maintained at all times.
• We provide a company mobile phone, as well as full training in our procedures.

• Your work will be varied through the whole of Australia - no boring depot to depot only runs!
