Job Description
As a Junior Field Technician, you will be responsible for deploying and supporting POS systems at customer sites nationwide. You'll work directly with retail, fuel and convenience customers to ensure installations are completed successfully and systems continue to operate reliably. This is a hands-on role that combines technical expertise with customer service and requires regular travel throughout Australia, often at short notice.
Key responsibilities
- Install, configure, and commission POS hardware and software at customer locations
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues
- Provide onsite and remote support to customers
- Perform preventative maintenance and system upgrades
- Train customers and staff on system operation where required
- Document installations, service activities, and support tickets
- Work collaboratively with our technical and customer support teams
- Participate in an on-call roster, including weekends, to support critical customer issues
About you
- Experience in IT support, field services, POS systems, networking, or a related technical role
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage travel schedules
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout Australia
- Availability to travel at short notice when required
- Ability to participate in an on-call weekend roster
