Job Description
The role of a Change Management Analyst is to support the IT Change Manager to ensure that the organisation can adapt and implement changes smoothly and effectively, whilst adhering to the governance processes and procedures for IT Change Management. Change Request Management Registration and Categorisation. Register all incoming change requests, ensuring they are accurately categorised based on their type, urgency, and impact using the ITSM toolset as well as other Paragon toolsets, processes, and procedures.
Risk and Impact Analysis Conduct detailed risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities associated with proposed changes. Review change to ensure comprehensive impact analyse has been performed to understand how changes will affect IT services, infrastructure, and business operations. Stakeholder Assessment Identify and assess the stakeholders affected by the change, evaluating their readiness and potential resistance.
Change Advisory Board (CAB) Coordination Schedule and coordinate CAB meetings, ensuring all relevant stakeholders are informed and involved in the decision-making process. Communication Plans Develop and execute communication plans to inform stakeholders about upcoming changes, including timelines, potential impacts, and benefits. Stakeholder Engagement Engage with stakeholders to gather feedback, address concerns, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Monitoring and Reporting Continuously monitor the progress of change implementation, identifying and addressing any issues or deviations from the plan. Provide regular status updates and detailed reports to stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, risks, and outcomes. Track and analyse performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of change management processes and identify areas for improvement.
Post Implementation Review Conduct post-implementation review meetings to assess the success of changes, gathering feedback from stakeholders and identifying lessons learned. Documentation Document the outcomes of post-implementation reviews, including successes, challenges, and recommendations for future changes. Continuous Improvement Use insights from post-implementation reviews to refine and improve change management processes.
Record Keeping Maintain detailed records of all change requests, approvals, implementations, and outcomes, ensuring they are easily accessible for audit and review using the ITSM toolset and other toolsets where appropriate. Compliance Assurance Ensure all change management activities comply with ITIL standards, organisational policies, and regulatory requirements. Policy Development Assist in the development and updating of change management policies and procedures to reflect best practices and organisational needs.
Technical Experience: Previous IT Change Management experience Good experience of ITIL processes. Background or strong interest in technology innovation Client engagement with strong stakeholder communication & engagement skills. Experience of working with a third party in a service delivery organisation.
