Infrastructure Business Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Business Analyst with a solid background in the banking or financial services sector to join our team in either Sheffield or Birmingham . This hybrid role requires you to be onsite 3 days a week, collaborating with stakeholders, IT teams, and third-party vendors to deliver robust infrastructure solutions that meet critical business and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities: Act as the liaison between business stakeholders and IT infrastructure teams. Gather, analyse, and document requirements for infrastructure-related initiatives including data centres, servers, networks, cloud migration, and cybersecurity upgrades. Translate business needs into functional and non-functional infrastructure requirements.

Support infrastructure project delivery by ensuring alignment between business goals and technical solutions. Participate in RFPs/RFIs and vendor assessments where required. Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain clear communication across business and technology teams.

Assist in developing business cases and cost-benefit analyses for infrastructure investments. Ensure compliance with banking industry standards, regulations, and internal risk policies. Support testing, change management, and transition to BAU (Business As Usual).

Required Skills & Experience: Proven experience as a Business Analyst within the banking or financial services industry . Strong background in IT infrastructure (e.g., servers, networks, cloud platforms, data centres, disaster recovery, etc.). Solid understanding of infrastructure lifecycle and ITIL processes.

Excellent documentation, requirements gathering, and stakeholder management skills. Experience working in Agile and/or Waterfall environments. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks relevant to financial institutions (e.g., PCI-DSS, GDPR, FCA regulations).

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
