IBD Clinical Nurse Specialist Closing date: 23 April 2026 Responsibilities Leads the development, management and promotion of the service, ensuring delivery of high quality, cost‑effective care. Applies advanced knowledge from stakeholders and patient experiences to drive service redesign, foster innovative practice, implement improvements and keep services responsive to patients’ needs. Promotes person‑centred care and collaborates with patients and their families to support self‑care and independence. Provides autonomous specialist nursing service to IBD patients, attending referrals and delivering holistic care. Makes clinical judgements, orders diagnostic tests within competence, and initiates appropriate action. Uses advanced communication to alleviate psychological distress, identifies need for onward referral to other agencies. Motives self and others, works autonomously and as part of a team. Delegated responsibility for staff appraisal, attendance and performance management. Qualifications and Experience Registered General Nurse First level degree in a related subject Evidence of continued professional development Recognised teaching qualification Clinical Diagnostics / Nurse Prescribing Evidence of master’s level learning Knowledge and Skills Advanced communication skills Audit and research skills Disclosure and Barring Service Check This post requires a Disclosure and Barring Service check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1975.
Salary: £47,810 to £54,710 per annum pro rata. #J-18808-Ljbffr
