Speech-Language Pathologist Job Details Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Hospital Travel Assignment Location: Mound City, MO 64470 Healthcare Setting: Hospital - Speech Language Pathology Unit Assignment Type: Travel SLP Job Start Date: February 16, 2026 End Date: May 18, 2026 Contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8-hour day shifts, Monday-Friday (start time between 6AM and 10AM; flexible as long as consistent and communicated) Hours per Week: 40 On-Call: None Weekend Requirement: No weekends unless a holiday falls within M-F (make-up hours allowed on weekends) Estimated Weekly Salary: $1990-$2140 per week SLP Qualifications Active Missouri State License as a Speech-Language Pathologist Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required Minimum 1 year of SLP experience (new grads with Level II experience are welcome) Experience in long-term care (LTC) or rehabilitation settings required Ability to provide at least one professional reference Knowledge of ASHA and Missouri state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics Speech-Language Pathologist Responsibilities Screen, evaluate, and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, or swallowing disorders in a hospital setting Develop and implement individualized plans of care using standardized assessments and evidence-based practices Monitor patient progress, adjust treatments as needed, and document all changes per regulatory and clinical requirements Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals Collaborate with supervisors and the interdisciplinary healthcare team regarding patient progress and treatment plans Prepare comprehensive discharge summaries and maintain accurate electronic patient records Participate in required meetings, trainings, in-services, and conferences Supervise and support CFY or Student Speech-Language Pathologists as needed Obtain necessary DME or supplies per regulatory and clinical practice requirements Ready to take the next step in your SLP career?
