About The Role… Partnering closely with our brands while maintaining a Group-wide lens, this second-line role focuses on group-level influence—balancing strategic insight with practical execution, confidently challenging leaders and enabling capability through coaching and supporting.
\nAs a Health & Safety Business Partner, you will:
\n- \n
- Act as a trusted H&S Business Partner, while contributing to risk management across the Group \n
- Partner with General Managers, Senior Leadership Team, and operational leaders to embed proactive risk management into everyday decision‑making \n
- Translate Group H&S strategy into brand‑specific, executable plans aligned to operational reality \n
- Use data, systems thinking, and coaching to uplift safety performance and capability \n
- Work collaboratively with other H&S Business Partners to ensure a consistent, scalable approach across the whole group \n
- Provide coverage and support across all areas during peak periods, leave, or major initiatives \n
What You’ll Be Doing
\n- \n
- Strategic Partnering & Influence - Partner with senior leaders to set safety priorities, deliver aligned brand plans, and drive targeted H&S improvements through strong group influence. \n
- Subject Matter Expertise - Act as a trusted Workplace Health and Safety Subject Matter Expert for, incident investigations, risk assessments, fit-for-purpose systems, procedures and tools, injury management. \n
- Governance, Assurance & Insight – Conduct second-line assurance audits and reporting, translating audits and performance insights/trends into meaningful actions for leaders. \n
- Capability, Change & Culture - Build sustainable safety capability by coaching leaders, influencing across matrixed environments, and driving continuous improvement and early risk intervention. \n
About You…You’re a confident, credible H&S professional who understands H&S risk management, complexity, and how to influence at scale.You’ll bring:
\n- \n
- Depth of Experience - 5–7+ years’ experience in H&S business partnering roles, ideally within large National/International multi-site organisations. \n
- Large Multi-site Environment - Proven experience working across multi-site, groups, divisions and brands. \n
- Professional Credentials - Formal tertiary qualifications in Health & Safety (essential). \n
- Trusted Influencer - Demonstrated ability to build trust, challenge constructively, and influence leaders at all levels. \n
- Strong Technical Foundation - Solid working knowledge of WHS legislation, Codes of Practice, safety management systems, injury management and workers compensation \n
- Coach-Led Approach - A coaching mindset focused on enabling leaders rather than personally owning all solutions. \n
- Strategic and Practical Agility - Confidence to operate strategically or hands-on as the situation requires. \n
