Head of EMEA Institutional Sales & Trading London

Overview

Lead Mesirows EMEA Institutional Sales & Trading business from London, driving revenue growth and expanding the client base across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. You will cultivate relationships with asset managers, hedge funds, pension funds, insurers and banks while distributing secondary market credit products. Collaborate with trading teams to source liquidity and translate market ideas into client opportunities.

This role offers impact through shaping the firm’s cross-border platform and expanding our institutional footprint.

Responsibilities

• Lead EMEA Institutional Sales & Trading from London
• Grow relationships with asset managers, hedge funds, pension funds, insurers, banks and other institutional investors across EMEA
• Distribute secondary market bonds and credit products to institutional investors
• Generate revenues across investment grade, high yield, EM, and special situations credit markets
• Work with trading colleagues to source liquidity and execute transactions across global credit markets
• Develop and communicate actionable trade ideas, relative value opportunities and market intelligence to clients
• Identify opportunities from liability management, restructurings, M&A-related flows, rating events and market dislocations
• Expand Mesirows institutional client franchise across Europe, the Middle East and Africa
• Support growth of the firms global Institutional Sales & Trading platform

• 12+ years of experience in institutional fixed income sales and trading
• Background in banking preferred
• Established relationships across asset managers, hedge funds, pension funds, insurers, banks and other institutional investors in EMEA
• Proven track record distributing secondary market credit products to institutional investors
• Proven ability to generate and grow revenues across IG, high yield, EM and special situations credit markets
• Experience covering institutional investors across Europe, the Middle East and Africa
• Ability to develop and expand a business within an established global platform
• Bachelors degree or equivalent industry experience
