Overview
In this role you drive the paid media strategy to acquire new customers while owning the data that proves performance. You lead multi-channel activation (including paid search, paid social, and offline media) and shape long-term growth within a multi-million-pound budget. You work closely with the Data Team and cross-functional partners to build trustable measurement and drive commercial outcomes.
You will mentor a small team and influence senior stakeholders with a data-led mindset. This is a chance to shape the marketing mix and accelerate growth for a pet-focused insurer.
Responsibilities- Own media planning to drive new customer growth and oversee full-funnel strategy across short-term and long-term channels
- Optimize multi-million-pound budget allocation using CPA, funnel, and commercial data to guide decisions
- Hands-on data analysis in Excel and data warehouse to validate dashboards and uncover insights
- Partner with Data Team, Finance, Product, CX to build a trustworthy measurement framework
- Test and scale new acquisition channels to diversify the mix while complying with FCA and ASA
- Lead integrated campaigns across Sales Activation and Brand Building with consistent messaging
- Manage agencies and ensure high-quality briefs and delivery pace
- Directly manage and develop three Performance Marketing Leads and represent Growth Marketing to stakeholders
- Significant experience leading growth marketing with ownership of budget and channel strategy
- Fluent in Excel and comfortable analyzing large/messy data sets
- Deep understanding of full-funnel metrics (CPA, ROAS, conversion, funnel drop-off) and diagnosing drivers of performance
- Experience managing large paid budgets across brand, performance, and offline media
- Strong stakeholder influence beyond the immediate team (Data, Finance, Product, senior leadership)
- Excellent agency management from brief to execution
- Understanding of audience segmentation and lifecycle targeting for mid- and lower-funnel strategies
- Experience coaching a small team
- Experience in insurance, financial services or regulated consumer sector
