General Manager – Upscale Restaurant $110,000 - $120,000 + $45K in Bonus Potential This established hospitality group is seeking an experienced and driven General Manager to lead one of its upscale restaurant, offering a competitive compensation package, comprehensive benefits, and strong growth potential. RELOCATION ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE TO SAN DIEGO BENEFITS: Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance 2 weeks PTO Bonus potential Shift meals and dining discounts DESCRIPTION: The General Manager provides overall leadership and direction for the restaurant, driving performance across sales, profitability, team development, guest experience, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: Lead all front- and back-of-house operations for this high-volume, upscale restaurant, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and consistent execution Drive revenue, profitability, and P&L performance through disciplined labor management, cost controls, and strategic decision-making Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing management team and large hourly staff, fostering accountability, culture, and retention Partner closely with culinary and beverage leadership to maintain excellence in food quality, wine service, and bar performance Maintain operational systems, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency, compliance, and brand standards Lead hiring, training, performance management, and succession planning across all departments Collaborate with executive leadership on business strategy, growth initiatives, and long-term planning Ensure compliance with health, safety, labor, and liquor regulations DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: 3+ years of experience as a General Manager for a high volume ($10M+) upscale or fine dining restaurant Proven leader in high-touch, guest-driven environments with a deep understanding of upscale dining service standards and hospitality Demonstrated success building, mentoring, and retaining high-performing restaurant teams Ability to partner closely with culinary leadership to maintain food quality, presentation, and guest satisfaction standards Strong financial acumen with proven success managing budgets, labor targets, and cost controls Excellent communication & interpersonal skills, calm and patient, approachable and kind EOE – EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER
