The FP&A Analyst will support the Finance Business Partner for Real Estate in delivering high-quality financial insight, reporting and analysis to Shoosmiths’ Real Estate Division. The role will play a key part in budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting and cost analysis, helping stakeholders to understand financial performance and make informed decisions. This is an excellent opportunity for a developing FP&A professional to build strong commercial and business partnering skills within a complex professional services environment.

Responsibilities Produce timely and accurate management information for the Real Estate Division, including monthly reporting, variance analysis and commentary Analyse cost trends, drivers and performance against budget and forecast Support the development and tracking of KPIs and performance metrics Budgeting & Forecasting Support the annual budgeting and periodic reforecasting processes for the Real Estate Division Work with budget holders to gather inputs, challenge assumptions and ensure consistency Maintain forecast models and supporting schedules Business Partnering Support Act as a key finance contact for the Real Estate Division teams on day‑to‑day queries Support the Finance Business Partner in preparing materials for stakeholder meetings Help translate financial data into clear, meaningful insight for non‑finance stakeholders Decision Support & Projects Assist with investment appraisals, business cases and cost‑benefit analysis Support ad‑hoc analysis for strategic initiatives and transformation projects Contribute to continuous improvement of FP&A processes, reporting and controls Systems & Data Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data used for reporting and analysis Help improve the use of finance systems, models and reporting tools Document processes and support standardisation across FP&A activities Skills & Experience Part‑qualified or newly qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or equivalent FP&A experience Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and explain financial information Good Excel and financial modelling capability Clear communication skills and ability to work with non‑finance stakeholders Experience in an FP&A, management accounting or business partnering role Exposure to budgeting and forecasting processes Experience in a Legal or professional services people‑cost‑led environment Personal Attributes Curious, proactive and keen to understand the “why” behind the numbers Comfortable working with detail while keeping sight of the bigger picture Well organised with the ability to manage competing priorities Eager to learn and develop as a finance business partner Equal opportunities Our approach to our people is underpinned by our approach to diversity, inclusion and well‑being.
