Foundry Manager (Lancaster)

Job Title: Foundry Manager Location: Lancaster, PA Salary: $175K - $180K Bonus: $20K - $25K Compensation: $195K - $205K Medical, dental, vision, 401K, paid vacations, etc.. Relocation assistance to the market The Foundry Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of foundry operations, including production, quality control, safety, maintenance, and personnel management. This role ensures efficient, cost-effective manufacturing of metal castings while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Operations Management Plan, direct, and coordinate daily foundry operations (melting, molding, pouring, finishing) Optimize production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery deadlines Monitor and improve workflow, throughput, and equipment utilization Team Leadership Supervise, train, and develop foundry staff, including supervisors and operators Enforce accountability, performance standards, and continuous improvement culture Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and labor efficiency Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations Maintain a strong safety culture and reduce workplace incidents Conduct safety audits, training, and corrective actions Quality Control Oversee quality assurance processes to ensure castings meet specifications Collaborate with engineering and QA teams to resolve defects and improve processes Implement continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) Maintenance & Equipment Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance of furnaces and equipment Minimize downtime through proactive planning and troubleshooting Support capital improvement projects and equipment upgrades Cost & Performance Management Manage budgets, material usage, and production costs Track KPIs such as yield, scrap rate, downtime, and on-time delivery Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements
