We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and driven Financial Accountant to join our clients well respected Finance team on a Full time/perm basis. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will undertake duties and responsibilities which will give you access for a full function Financial Accountant role with a leading global business. If you are looking for a hands on and dynamic role then this is the one for you.

This position is working in the office full time.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring end of month reports are prepared accurately in accordance with deadlines
  • Preparing and reporting month end data
  • Maintaining monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation including fixed asset register, bank reconciliation, inter company reconciliation
  • Preparation of Annual Financial Statements
  • Assist in the planning and co-ordination of the interim and year end audit
  • Monitoring day-to-day operations of the company (eg, cash management, credit vetting, customer/ accounts receivable control, supplier/ accounts payable control, stock ordering determination and review)
  • Reporting on Cash flow and Capital expenditure
  • Ensure monthly financial statements and reporting pack are accurately prepared and submitted on time
  • Accurate and timely balance sheet reconciliation including Fixed asset register, inventory reconciliation
  • Preparation of annual budget and forecast
  • liaison for monthly tax obligations (e.g. Payroll tax, GST, Income Tax of Company, FBT, Transfer Pricing)
  • Any other duties as directed by the company from time to time.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Full Australian work rights
  • Completed a business/commerce degree
  • Undertaking or completed CA/CPA
  • Advanced excel: VLook Ups/Macros
  • Previous experience in a similar position
  • Excellent communication skills interacting with customers by phone, email or face-to-face
  • Well spoken & fluent in English including writing
  • High degree of computer literacy
  • Used an ERP system
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
  • The ability to problem solves
