Finance Manager

Our client, a multi-site pharmacy business, is seeking a Finance Manager to lead the finance function across five pharmacy locations and a central support office.

This is a broad and commercially focused role offering responsibility for financial planning, budgeting, management reporting, cashflow management, compliance, and business partnering. Working closely with external finance and payroll providers, you will ensure the delivery of accurate financial information while supporting operational and strategic decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation and review of monthly management accounts across multiple locations.
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Cashflow forecasting
• Monitor business performance through KPI reporting and financial analysis.
• Analyse financial results against budget and provide actionable recommendations.
• Oversee Accounts Payable, supplier payments and reconciliations.
• Coordinate audit processes and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations.
• Manage VAT returns, tax compliance and financial reporting requirements.
• Support inventory valuation, stock controls and pharmacy financial operations.
• Drive process improvements and strengthen financial controls across the organisation.
• Partner with senior leadership to support commercial decision-making.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with auditors, financial institutions and key suppliers.

The successful candidate will act as a trusted business partner to senior management, providing financial insight to drive process improvements and enhance efficiency.

About You:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, QBE or equivalent).
• 5-8 years' finance experience
• Strong experience in management accounting, budgeting, forecasting and cashflows
• Previous exposure to audit, VAT and financial compliance requirements.
• Experience within retail/ pharmacy, or multi-site environments would be advantageous.
• Commercially minded with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
