Equipment Maintenance Technician (CIM & Instrumentation)
Location: Cork, Ireland
Contract: 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract
Work Arrangement: 100% On-Site (5 Days Per Week)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Equipment Maintenance Technician to join a fast-paced manufacturing and engineering environment in Cork. This role will support advanced manufacturing systems, production equipment, and test instrumentation, ensuring operational efficiency and high-quality standards across manufacturing processes.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on technician who enjoys troubleshooting complex technical issues, driving process improvements, and working with cutting-edge manufacturing technology.
Please note: Applicants must currently hold a valid Stamp 1G or Stamp 4 visa and be eligible to work full-time in Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve technical equipment and system issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, inspections, and audits on manufacturing equipment.
- Support production teams by providing technical expertise across both product and process operations.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency, reliability, and quality.
- Support the development, operation, and maintenance of advanced test instrumentation and associated systems.
- Monitor equipment performance and manufacturing data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in accordance with quality and safety standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to drive operational excellence.
Required Skills & Experience
- Previous Experience providing hands-on technical support in a manufacturing, production, or engineering environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
- Experience with equipment maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and inspection activities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of computer hardware, peripherals, Linux, or macOS environments.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP and DHCP.
- Experience supporting automated manufacturing systems or Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) equipment.
- Familiarity with RF test equipment or advanced test instrumentation.
- Experience analysing manufacturing data and identifying process improvements.
- Strong technical judgment and a proactive approach to solving problems.
Education
- Qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline preferred.
- Relevant practical Experience in a similar role is essential.
