Job Description
Delhi Public School, Nacharam is seeking a passionate and experienced English Teacher to inspire students of Classes 6–12 through engaging, learner-centric instruction. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, strong subject knowledge, and the ability to foster critical thinking, creativity, and language proficiency in accordance with CBSE standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver effective English Language and Literature lessons aligned with the CBSE curriculum.
* Develop students' reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, and vocabulary skills.
* Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, question papers, and teaching resources.
* Conduct formative and summative assessments and provide constructive feedback to students.
* Monitor and evaluate student progress, maintaining accurate academic records.
* Prepare students for CBSE examinations, competitions, debates, speeches, and creative writing activities.
* Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment that promotes active learning.
* Integrate technology and innovative teaching methodologies into classroom instruction.
* Identify and support students requiring remedial or enrichment programmes.
* Maintain classroom discipline and uphold school policies and CBSE guidelines.
* Participate in parent-teacher meetings, staff meetings, school events, and professional development programmes.
* Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and improve student outcomes.
Qualifications
* Master's Degree in English (M.A. English), B.Ed.
* CTET/TET qualification is preferred.
* Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience in a CBSE school (preferred).

* Strong knowledge of the CBSE curriculum and assessment practices.
* Effective classroom management and interpersonal skills.
