Fixed Term (12 month), full-time, with the possibility of becoming permanent
Hale School is Western Australia's oldest independent boys' school. Located in the suburb of Wembley Downs, the current campus is situated on a magnificent 48 hectare site, approximately 13 kilometres to the north-west of Perth and two kilometres from the coast.
Hale School is seeking applications from enthusiastic and well-qualified professionals for the position of an English Teacher commencing in Term 1 2027. Hale School's ATAR classes are structured with 10 Year 11 ATAR classes and 10 Year 12 ATAR classes. Experience teaching these classes will be favourable.
English teachers at Hale School have the opportunity to teach all year groups from Years 8 to 12. The successful applicant will join a highly collaborative department with a strong reputation for academic excellence and a commitment to inspiring students through curiosity, creativity and intellectual engagement.
The successful applicant will:
- have a proven history as an English teacher
- the ability to teach from Year 8 to ATAR English is preferred.
- experience working in high-functioning teams.
- be familiar with the Western Australian Curriculum.
- have an understanding of, and empathy for, the learning needs and social, emotional, and spiritual development of boys.
- have a firm commitment to independent schooling and a willingness to support the School's values and Anglican traditions.
- hold appropriate academic and teaching qualifications.
- have current registration as a teacher with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia or be eligible for registration.
- have a current Working with Children (WWC) check.
