Job Description
Engineering/Technical Student – Ottawa, Ontario. We are seeking Engineering Students for our Ottawa District, within our Canadian Buildings Division, that are available for 4 months from September 2026 – December 2026. Responsibilities Conducts deficiency walks.
Coordinates and supervises sub‑trade work. Takes and coordinates progress photos. Tracks site progress and deficiencies.
Verifies site conditions and coordinates with drawings. Coordinates, marks up and updates drawings. Coordinates work specific scope and trades.
Conducts trade quote reviews by verifying material quantities, hours, and rates. Inputs and updates deficiency logs. Participates in project meetings.
Performs quantity take‑offs. Produces as‑built drawings. Sets-up and maintains record keeping.
Qualifications Working towards a degree or diploma in a civil engineering related field. A passion for working in a construction environment. Experience with the application of various computer software programs, including word processing, spreadsheet applications and drafting.
Self‑motivation with a hands‑on approach. Prior field construction experience is considered an asset. The estimated hourly range for this role is $21.37 – $31.33 based on your experience and qualifications.
