Position Details Position Title: Engagement Manager - Government Advisory Number of Positions: 02 Location: Jaipur, Rajasthan Reporting To: Associate Director / Director Employment Type: Full-time Experience Required: 10+ Years Educational Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Communications, Political Science, Economics, Sociology, Development Studies, Rural Development, Social Work, Management, Commerce, Statistics, Engineering, Law, or related disciplines may apply for this position. Master's Degree (Preferred/Advantageous): Candidates with a Master's degree in Public Administration, Economics, Political Science, Public Policy, Governance, Development Studies, MBA in Public Policy, Infrastructure Management, Rural Management, CSR, Business Communications , Operations or other relevant disciplines; Masters in Public Health; LLM; ME/M.TECH or equivalent disciplines will be preferred. Candidates from premier institutions or with specialisation in public management, policy, or development will be particularly advantaged for this role.
Relevant Work Experience Candidates with 10+ years of relevant work experience in government advisory, management consulting, public sector engagement, development sector organisations, or multilateral agencies are eligible to apply for this position. Candidates should demonstrate proven experience in managing end-to-end advisory engagements, leading client relationships, overseeing diverse project teams, and delivering complex government advisory mandates. Candidates from top-tier consulting firms, development institutions, or government advisory practices with a demonstrated ability to manage business relationships and project teams will be strongly preferred.
Role Overview The Engagement Manager - Government Advisory will own and manage end-to-end delivery of government advisory engagements, lead senior client relationships, drive business development, and oversee project teams across multiple mandates for Government Departments and Public Institutions. The Engagement Manager plays a pivotal role between senior leadership and the project delivery team. This role requires strategic thinking, strong client relationship skills, project management excellence, and the ability to grow the firm's government advisory portfolio.
The selected candidate will be responsible for advisory quality, client satisfaction, team performance, and business growth within the government advisory practice. Senior Client Management: Strong ability to build and sustain relationships with senior government officials and institutional leaders. Team Leadership & Development: Ability to lead, mentor, and develop multi-level advisory teams in dynamic project environments. Candidates from premier consulting firms, public sector organisations, or development institutions with experience in leading advisory mandates will be strongly preferred.
Preference will also be given to candidates with proven experience in business development, team leadership, bid management, and thought leadership within government advisory or related public sector domains, along with willingness to travel for client engagements. Travel & Mobility Requirements Willingness to travel within Rajasthan and other locations, as required for project assignments. Ability to undertake field visits, stakeholder consultations, district-level reviews, and implementation assessments.
Flexibility to work in dynamic and fast-paced public sector environments. Candidates should be comfortable with short-duration and periodic travel based on project needs.
