Job Description
GenTech Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a leading UK manufacturer. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a modern, technology-driven manufacturing environment featuring advanced automation, robotic cells, CNC machinery, paint lines, and state-of-the-art production equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime and maximise production efficiency.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults across a wide range of manufacturing equipment.
- Work with single and three-phase electrical systems, inverters, drives, relays, PLCs, motors and robotic equipment.
- Interpret electrical drawings to support fault diagnosis and repair.
- Perform maintenance across automated production lines.
- Support continuous improvement projects to increase machine availability and reliability.
- Identify equipment issues and implement effective long-term solutions.
- Maintain high standards of health, safety and housekeeping.
- Liaise with external contractors and service engineers when required.
What We're Looking For
- Qualified Mechanical or Electrical Engineer with previous manufacturing or industrial maintenance experience.
- Proven electrical fault-finding experience.
- Experience working with hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Fabrication experience is advantageous.
- Experience working with PLC-controlled machinery is highly desirable.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and ability to work to production targets.

Shift Pattern
This position operates on a rotating three-shift pattern:
- Week 1: Monday to Thursday 05:30 14:00, Friday 05:30 12:00
- Week 3: Monday to Thursday 14:00 22:30, Friday 12:00 18:30
- Week 5: Sunday to Wednesday 23:00 05:30, Thursday night through to Friday 05:30
