Job Description

This is a challenging opportunity to work as part of a multi-disciplinary, highly collaborative and coordinated team. The role will focus on delivering projects within semiconductor manufacturing, data centre facilities, and other advanced manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organise, assign, and delegate engineering and design tasks to support the production of construction documents alongside a team of engineers and designers
  • Manage project scope, budget, and schedule to meet defined objectives
  • Collaborate in real time with multi-disciplinary teams to develop integrated design solutions
  • Take responsibility for electrical design deliverables, ensuring technical accuracy, completeness, and quality of construction documentation
  • Analyse and design complex building electrical systems, including:
  • Medium and low voltage power systems
  • Lighting, grounding, and process heating systems
  • Standby generators and UPS systems for critical power applications
  • Support site selection and due diligence activities during early project phases
  • Conduct field activities, including observation of construction works
  • Review construction submittals to ensure alignment with design intent and contract requirements
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior electrical engineers and designers on a project basis

Requirements

  • Honours Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the design of building electrical systems
  • Strong knowledge and application of IEC and relevant local building/specialty codes
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal

Preferred Experience

  • 5 + years’ experience in electrical design within building services
  • Experience in semiconductor or other advanced manufacturing facility design
  • Experience with semiconductor tool installation and data centre design
  • Knowledge of ATEX requirements

Technical Skills

  • Working knowledge of Revit or other BIM software
  • Experience with electrical design software such as EasyPower, ETAP, or SKM PowerTools
