Aranmore Catholic College is seeking an enthusiastic, nurturing, and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our vibrant learning community. We are looking for an educator with a strong understanding of high‑quality early childhood pedagogy, a commitment to play‑based and inquiry‑driven learning, and a genuine passion for supporting the developmental, social, emotional, and spiritual growth of students.
About the Role
Early Childhood Teachers at our College nurture a love of learning by creating rich, play‑based environments where curiosity thrives. You will guide our youngest learners to explore, question and discover, through child-led play based learning.
We are seeking a teacher who can deliver engagingand developmentally appropriatelearning programs for ourstudents. The ideal candidate will bring strong early childhood pedagogical knowledge, a collaborative and team focused mindset, and a genuine desire to contribute to the academic, spiritual, and personal development of our youngest learners.
This is a full time, ongoing position starting in Term 1, 2027.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high‑quality learning programs for early childhood students
- Create a positive, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment that supports student engagement and wellbeing
- Support students in understanding and living our Mercy Values through daily interactions, classroom learning and participation in the Mercy Kid initiative
- Encourage curiosity and develop knowledge through inquiry‑driven, play‑based learning in our youngest students
- Apply strong working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standards and progressive early years pedagogy to promote best practice
- Assess student learning accurately and provide timely, constructive feedback in line with the National Quality Standards
- Develop innovative teaching resources and collaborate effectively with colleagues
- Engage in ongoing professional learning and contribute to cocurricular and whole‑school activities
- Model and promote the Catholic ethos, values and pastoral care principles of the school
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with students, families and staff
- Uphold Child Safe School guidelines and prioritise the safety and wellbeing of all students
About You
You will be a passionate Early Childhood Teacher who:
- Demonstrates strong knowledge of early years pedagogy and contemporary teaching practice
- Values relationships and creates a supportive, respectful, play‑based learning environment
- Encourages curiosity, inquiry and joyful exploration in our youngest learners
- Inspires children to become confident, capable and lifelong learners through rich, engaging experiences
- Is committed to continuous improvement and reflective practice
- Works collaboratively and contributes positively to a thriving school culture
- Embraces the mission, ethos and values of Catholic education
Qualifications & Requirements
- Current TRBWA registration
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Education(Early Childhood)
- Accreditation to Teach in a Catholic School
- Current Working with Children Check
- Commitment to CEWAChild‑SafeFramework
