\nThe Cathedral School is seeking an exceptional educational leader to join our Senior School as Director of Teaching and Learning โ Senior School. This pivotal leadership position is responsible for shaping curriculum excellence, driving pedagogical improvement, enhancing student outcomes, and ensuring the highest standards of academic integrity and compliance across Years 10โ12. A teaching load is associated with the role.
\nWorking closely with the Principal, Deputy Principal โ Teaching, Learning and Innovation, Deputy Principal โ Head of Senior School, and Heads of Department, you will play a key role in leading curriculum innovation, supporting teacher growth, overseeing QCAA processes, and building a culture of continuous improvement that prepares students for success beyond school.

About the Role\nAs the primary curriculum leader for Years 10โ12, you will provide strategic leadership across curriculum, assessment, pedagogy, data analysis, teacher development, and student pathways. You will also serve as the School's Principal's Delegate for QCAA, ensuring compliance and excellence in all aspects of senior schooling.
\nKey responsibilities include:

- Leading curriculum quality, innovation and review across Years 10โ12. \n
- Driving evidence-based teaching and learning practices through coaching, professional learning and instructional leadership. \n
- Overseeing QCAA compliance, endorsement, confirmation, AARA processes and external examinations. \n
- Using student achievement data and learning analytics to inform improvement strategies and maximise student outcomes. \n
- Supporting diverse student pathways including ATAR, VET, dual enrolment and alternative qualifications. \n
- Working collaboratively with Heads of Department to build high-performing teaching teams. \n
The successful applicant will be an accomplished educator and leader who can inspire excellence in others while maintaining a strong focus on student achievement.
\nYou will possess:

- Current Queensland College of Teachers registration. \n
- Significant experience in senior secondary education and curriculum leadership. \n
- Demonstrated expertise in QCAA processes, assessment and compliance requirements. \n
- Strong data literacy and the ability to drive improvement through evidence-based decision-making. \n
- Proven experience in teacher coaching, professional growth and pedagogical leadership. \n
- Exceptional communication, organisational and relationship-building skills. \n
