Demand Manager

Position: Demand Management Lead ( Manager/Senior Manager ) Department: Business Planning / Commercial Operations / Demand Management Reporting to: OPS Location: Cochin, Kerala, India. Job Purpose The Demand Management role is responsible for driving order booking visibility, backlog analytics, demand forecasting, and revenue planning. The role ensures accurate translation of booking trends into revenue forecasts while enabling leadership with actionable business insights, profitability analysis, and management reporting.

Key Responsibilities 1) Booking & Backlog Management Own management reporting on order bookings and backlog performance. Track new order intake trends, backlog movement, and revenue conversion pipeline. Map backlog coverage and revenue realization potential Provide visibility on backlog risks, slippages, and execution dependencies. 2) Demand Forecasting Drive the forecasting process.

Consolidate forecast inputs from sales team and Product Managers. Validate demand assumptions, booking trends, and market signals. Ensure forecast accuracy through monthly demand review cadence. 3) Revenue Forecast Translation Collaborate with the planning team to convert bookings and backlog into revenue forecasts.

Align demand outlook with production and supply planning assumptions. Highlight revenue upside/downside scenarios and forecast risks. 4) Business & MMS Reporting Support MMS reporting, including revenue analysis by market segments. Prepare monthly business dashboards covering: Orders received Backlog trend Forecast vs actual Revenue by BU Segment performance Product line contribution Generate management reports for leadership reviews. 5) Profitability & Price Variance Analysis Partner with Site BU Controllers and Product Managers to analyze Intercompany (Interco) / OEM price variations.

Identify margin leakage, price deviations, and profitability risks. Support actions to optimize pricing governance and improve business margins. 6) Leadership Reporting Prepare business performance presentations for management reviews. Provide insights on: Demand trends Revenue conversion Pricing impact Profitability movement Forecast reliability Support strategic decision-making through data-backed recommendations.
