Construction Estimator (Miami)

Construction Estimator – Miami, FL We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join a growing construction company in Miami. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in commercial and/or residential construction estimating , with the ability to develop accurate cost estimates and support project planning. Position Summary The Construction Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates, bid proposals, and project budgets , ensuring accuracy and competitiveness while supporting the preconstruction and project management teams.

Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment Analyze blueprints, specifications, and project documents to develop accurate bids Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor bids Prepare and submit competitive bid proposals and budgets Perform quantity take-offs and cost analysis Collaborate with project managers and preconstruction teams to align estimates with project scope Track and analyze project costs vs. estimates to improve future forecasting Maintain and update cost databases and historical data Identify opportunities for value engineering and cost savings Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred) 3+ years of construction estimating experience Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and pricing Experience with takeoff and estimating software (PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Procore, etc.) Proficiency in Excel Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Preferred Experience with commercial, residential, or mixed-use projects Familiarity with South Florida construction market and subcontractors Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
