Job Description
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is seeking a Compassionate Veterinarian to join our dedicated team, who is specialized in providing end-of-life care and euthanasia services. In this role, you will be responsible for administering in-home euthanasia and coordinating hospice care with pet owners, ensuring a peaceful and dignified transition for pets. You will work closely with families to manage their pet's pain and symptoms and offer emotional support and guidance during their final days.
Our goal is to ensure that each family receives the highest standard of compassionate care during these sensitive times. Provide in-home euthanasia services ensuring a peaceful and dignified farewell for pets. Develop and manage individualized hospice care plans in consultation with pet owners.
Educate and support pet owners regarding end-of-life options and care. Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to maintain clear communication and efficient operation. Assist in managing the emotional needs of pet owners during the hospice process.
Strong empathetic communication skills Proficiency in small animal euthanasia techniques Ability to manage delicate situations with compassion and professionalism Experience in pain management and palliative care Medical Insurance Valid veterinary license Certification in euthanasia administration preferred
