This is a country-level role covering business development, customer management, market strategy and commercial execution across grains, oilseeds, pulses and feed ingredients. Working with regional and international stakeholders, the incumbent will translate broader value-chain strategies into commercially viable plans for the local market.
The longer-term mandate will be to develop a sustainable in-country platform by strengthening customer partnerships, connecting market demand with global supply capabilities and building the local resources required to support future growth.
What You Will Be Responsible For:

- Identify market opportunities and develop practical routes to market across relevant agricultural commodity segments.
- Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline, with accountability for traded volumes, margins and customer-related performance indicators.
- Develop long-term relationships with industrial buyers, strategic accounts, suppliers and other relevant market participants.
- Convert customer requirements into suitable commercial and value-added solutions by coordinating resources across the wider organisation.
- Maintain close oversight of local supply-and-demand conditions, import developments, competitor activities and changes in government policy.
- Provide regular market intelligence and commercial updates to support regional trading, origination and planning decisions.
- Coordinate demand forecasting, shipment planning and logistics execution to ensure timely and reliable delivery to customers.
- Monitor mark-to-market exposure, counterparty considerations and other country-level commercial risks.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders across origination, trading, freight, logistics, finance, risk, legal and tax.
- Ensure all commercial activities and contract executions comply with established risk controls and governance requirements.
- Produce timely performance reports, market updates, management scorecards and business review materials.
- Contribute local insights during regional research and market discussions.
- Support the recruitment, development and leadership of a local team as the business grows.
What We Are Looking For:
- Ideally minimum 10 years of relevant experience in agricultural commodities, animal feed, agri-food or a related trading environment.
- Strong commercial knowledge of grains, oilseeds, feed ingredients or comparable commodity products.
- Established experience managing industrial or corporate customers in a B2B setting.
- A proven track record in market development, strategic account management and commercial growth.
- Good knowledge of the Bangladesh market, supported by a relevant professional network.
- Familiarity with local business practices, regulatory considerations, import processes and cultural dynamics.
- Practical exposure to physical commodity execution, logistics coordination and commercial risk management.
- Ability to analyse market fundamentals and turn insights into actionable commercial plans.
- Strong stakeholder-management skills, with experience working across functions, locations and cultures.
- Qualifications in international trade, supply-chain management or a related discipline would be advantageous.
