Commercial Director - UK & Ireland

Overview

In this role you drive profitable growth for SPC growth brands across the UK and Ireland, leading sales, marketing, and partnerships to deliver market expansion. You will align strategies with regulatory requirements and collaborate with the leadership team to shape plans, launches, and portfolio direction. You lead and develop field sales, marketing, and partnerships functions, ensure KPI-driven performance, and manage budgets to deliver revenue and market share growth.

• Develop and implement sales and marketing brand strategies aligned with company objectives and local regulations
• Identify market trends and growth opportunities within the UK and Ireland pharmaceutical sector
• Collaborate with UK & Ireland Leadership Team on long-term plans, portfolio management, and product launches
• Provide direction and coaching to Sales, Partnership, and Marketing teams
• Forecast new product opportunities with SPC Corporate functions
• Drive market share growth and achieve revenue and profitability targets
• Set and monitor KPIs, optimize strategies based on data
• Oversee pricing, tendering, and account management per NHS and private sector needs
• Manage Field Sales teams to execute Account Plans and allocate resources
• Lead Marketing to deliver compliant promotional materials and resources
• Lead Partnership Team to enhance cross-functional engagement and primary care activity
• Recruit, train, and develop Field Sales and Marketing teams; set targets and performance management
• Ensure compliance and manage budgets for sales and marketing across the countries

• Significant experience in sales and marketing leadership within the pharmaceutical industry, ideally covering the UK and Irish markets
• Proven track record in delivering commercial success, including product launches and market access strategies
• Deep understanding of the UK/Ireland healthcare environment, NHS structures, reimbursement pathways, and key policy drivers
