Collections Executive

Overview

In this role you support SME business owners by assessing finances, diagnosing issues, and proposing solutions while building rapport. You deliver high-quality service with a focus on cash collection and minimizing defaults, all while meeting service levels. You’ll work in a fast-paced, hybrid London setup, enabling real-time results and collaboration with the broader team.

• Provide comprehensive support to SME owners by assessing financial situations and diagnosing problems
• Propose solutions and build rapport to understand customer needs
• Deliver service excellence aligned with quality standards
• Manage customer accounts with emphasis on cash collection and reducing aged debt
• Minimise loan defaults through proactive collection and engagement
• Own productivity and workload to meet defined service levels
• Adopt a flexible approach and undertake ad hoc duties as needed
• Comply with regulatory and FCA guidelines relevant to borrowers, colleagues, and investors

• Customer-facing experience in financial services (6+ months)
• Track record of achieving targets, SLAs and KPIs with a focus on continuous improvement
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to handle multiple systems
• Empathy for borrowers and a commitment to problem-solving via excellent customer service
• Motivated, deadline-driven, and able to work under pressure while maintaining quality
• Proactive in identifying ways to use Generative AI to streamline tasks and enhance productivity
• Confident using approved AI tools safely and effectively to improve output
