About the Role Our client is growing its AWS-based enterprise data platform and is looking for a Cloud/DevOps with a strong application development, software engineering background who has transitioned into cloud engineering/DevOps within an AWS environment . This is a great fit for someone who started in software development, understands how modern applications are built, and now works across cloud-native architecture, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and reliable cloud delivery. This is not a pure operations role.
It is best suited to someone who can still think like a developer, build in AWS, and support scalable, secure, enterprise-grade solutions across environments. The attached profile emphasizes AWS-native development, CI/CD, IaC, cloud reliability, and alignment to enterprise architecture and security standards. What You’ll Be Doing Design and build cloud-native solutions and services in AWS Support the development, integration, and implementation of scalable enterprise systems Contribute to application delivery across development, test, and production environments using modern CI/CD practices Work with Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and/or AWS CDK Partner with architects, platform teams, developers, and data teams to deliver secure and reliable cloud solutions Troubleshoot issues across applications, cloud services, integrations, and enterprise platforms Help improve deployment processes, operational standards, monitoring, logging, and support practices Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, privacy, and quality standards What We’re Looking For Around 5–8 years of total experience in software engineering, application development, cloud engineering, or DevOps Prior hands-on background in application development / software engineering before moving into cloud or DevOps Strong experience working in an AWS shop building or supporting cloud-native applications Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, S3, and IAM Experience with Python and/or TypeScript / JavaScript in production environments Solid understanding of CI/CD , automation, and modern deployment practices Hands-on exposure to Infrastructure as Code using Terraform , CloudFormation , and/or AWS CDK Able to work effectively in a large enterprise environment with multiple stakeholders
